Day 1: Prep Day for the Vehicle - Wednesday

Ivan arrived in Los Angeles. Wednesday was a day of familiarization for Ivan with the S13. The S13 had been rebuilt recently and the combination of parts had not been tested on the vehicle. Car was towed to HKS USA for tuning and was producing 430BHP at the Dyno. Concern from Gearhienz and HKS was that driveshaft would not be able to take increased powerload coming from the engine. In previous configurations when Dai was driving the car, the S13 was tuned at only 370 BHP. However, team made a decision to go with the increased powerload which caused us some problems later on.

Inside the S13

We got a chance to check out NOB’s S15 which HKS USA had brought over to the states for Formula D. His S15 was driven by Pac Rim driver Daijiro Yoshihara.
