July 9 – Day 2 – Enroute to Vegas

Marcus used to live in Vegas, so we decided to entrust our lifes in his hand as we took the drive up from LA to LV in our left-hand drive rental. Made sure we stopped by SPARCO USA Hq in Irvine to pick up some goodies. The drive up consisted of us staring out at the desert and more desert.

On the way, Marcus had to stop by In-and Out Burgers for his annual junk food fix. 4 hours later, we were in Sin City. The pictures say it all, time to hit the poker tables dudes!

Got into town in time to catch up with the FD boys who were having a roadshow in downtown. The FD Rig on display with Orido’s and Ken Gushi’s rides. By this time we were hungry ,and so we decided to proceed for dinner at the famous Memphis BBQ. On the way, Jason had to check out the numerous “wedding chapels” to enquire about rates. $39.99 USD on weekdays and $49.99 USD on weekends with 10 bucks extra for the Elvis impersonator. I guess we all know where Jason is getti ng married now ala Britnney style.

At Memphis BBQ, Marcus went on and on about the intricacies of the “wet-rub” versus “dry-rub” marinade of ribs. Apparently at Memphis BBQ, we were having the “dry-rub”. Frankly, it just tasted damn good to us. Ribs are ribs.
